How to maintain 100% privacy on reddit in order to protect your personal Identity & prevent chat leaks or profile breaches
Reddit is public except for private communities (though they can be changed to public by the mods at any time) so everyone can see your whole posting and commenting history on your profile. Third party sites and applications also mean that nothing is ever really deleted. You can use alternative accounts and be careful how much you share, especially personal information. Personal details wise, all anyone can see is your username and whatever details you add to your profile, so you are anonymous unless you share further data. Some people periodically delete all their content or switch accounts. In your user settings you can turn off a few settings: Active in communities visibility Content visibility Allow people to follow you Show up in search results You can also block users , report content, and again in your user settings, you can control who can send you private messages or chats. Most subs/redditors don't care who anyone is though, the focus is on the content - sharing interests and participating in discussion.
