So my shark brush(not the roller) spins and stops continuously when in hard floor mode, but when i change to carpet mode, is spins freely. There is also a flashing green light accompanying this issue. Had anyone experienced this problem with shark vacuums? When i google this it seems the only answer i get is flashing green light means it is charging Thanks

Shark vacuums don't have height settings, the carpet/hard floor setting are merely a suction bleed valve and I believe it slows down the brushroll as well.
If you are experiencing this issue when using the hard floor setting on carpet, it's that the suction is too strong and bogs down the head in the carpet. The carpet setting decreases the suction and allows the head to move through the carpet.
If you are experiencing this on hard flooring, than it sounds like an issue with the head and I'd contact CS for troubleshooting Shark considers the entire head a wear part and not covered under their standard warranty.

Common Shark issue is problems with the heads and as the other comment said they don’t cover heads as they think they are “wear” items. One of the many reasons enthusiasts like myself dislike Shark vacuums and don’t buy them. I’d cut your losses and toss it where sadly they all end up and belong.

Remember, the handle must be pulled back for the roller brush to turn on AND the switch must be set to carpet or the 2nd position on the switch. Green light should come on.

The brush does not want to spin. I have replaced the filters and the round orange and black thing in front. Usually when it does this it just needs cleaned out. I have ot cleaner than it ever has been and it still wont spin. Any suggestions?

That red light usually means a blockage or tangled brush. I had the same issue once and switched to the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum afterward. The design’s easier to maintain and there aren’t as many parts to unclog. It’s quick to clean out and gets back to running without needing tools or a full teardown.
