My camera doesn’t work but, in the clear housing of the vacuum where everything collects, there seems to be like a gray filter that resembles like a thimble?? Tying to figure out what it is, how to replace/or clean it/ and how to get a new one if needed. It’s pretty gross looking. Thanks!

I’d contact Shark. Parts for Shark cleaners are notoriously hard to get ahold of, one of the many reasons they’re not recommended on this subreddit.

It's hard to guess because Shark has so many models all with small differences and the parts are not common and shared. If you still have that box the model number should be on the bottom by the bar code. On the vacuum itself, there's a silver sticker with the model number and serial number. It's usually located on the motor behind the dirt cup. The model number will be something like UV480 or HV382. Put the model number in the Shark Parts Finder and it will bring up all of the parts.
