I have a Shark® Rocket® Vacuum - HV301 that stopped working today. The brush spins just fine, until it gets on carpet then the red light comes on and the brush stops spinning.
The brush has been cleaned so it's almost as clear as the day we got it.
The brush spins just fine on laminate or when you turn it on carpet. But moving it on carpet, it immediately stops.
There's nothing blocking vacuum hose
Happens with no filters installed (I'm washing them currently) so it's not a dirty filter.
There is only a small short hose, the rest is a hard plastic wand.
I did call Shark and they said the 5 year warranty didn't cover the bottom part that actually picks up dirt.
We bought it in April for $150 and they want to charge us $100 for a new part.
Hoping someone has ideas.
