I'm looking for a light weight vacuum that's under $200. I was previously using a cordless stick vacuum, however I'm tired of the vacuum dying with only a few months of use. I live in a two story house with vinyl plank flooring and a few animals. I'm currently pregnant so it's hard for me to lift much, but I'd like to be able to vacuum the stairs in the same way as I did with the cordless stick vacuum. The size and shape of the Shark Rocket vacuum looks similar, so I'm thinking I'd be able to use it in the same way, other than having a cord.
Does anyone have the Shark Rocket vacuum and have an opinion on it? Also, I noticed one has an anti-tangle beater bar, which is the one I'd get.
Are you considering buying the Shark Pet Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Powerfins Brushroll, 40 min Runtime, IZ240? Here’s my experience with wasting $200!
Decided to treat myself to an “expensive” vacuum. Got the Shark Pet Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Powerfins Brushroll, 40 min Runtime, IZ240.
It simply doesn’t get the job done. I don’t know how companies get away with this kind of stuff.
Battery lasts only 15 minutes on carpet, not nearly enough time to vacuum my tiny 550 sqft apartment.
Doesn’t work while charger attached. There is no cord option for reasons beyond me.
Takes several hours to charge.
Doesn’t stand up on its own.
It’s weak: 33 CFM pales in comparison to the average vacuum (50-100 CFM)
Before my first use, I charged the battery all day for a complete charge since it arrived completely dead (classy!).
I have a 550 sqft carpeted one-bedroom apartment. That’s pretty small. Using the carpet setting, while vacuuming at a reasonable pace, I was able to vacuum less than half of my apartment before the battery died. It lasted about 15 minutes. It doesn’t work at all when the charge cable is plugged in. It’ll be about 3 more hours until I’m able to possible finish vacuuming my apartment. I know it’s cordless, but regardless, how did a 15 minute time window EVER become acceptable for a vacuum cleaner?
$200 for this vacuum is absolutely unreasonable. This little thing is for cleaning up small messes, not routine maintenance of even tiny apartments.
I found this vacuum on market place for $50. I have a dog and I like that it can turned into handheld. I currently have a kirby that I purchased in 2017. I'm not getting rid of it, but it's not my favorite. What's your opinion on the shark? I need something with good suction on tile and carpet.
I know I know, we all hate shark.
I was gifted a Shark Rocket Pro (IX141H) and have been using it for the last couple years for regular cleaning. Surprisingly it’s worked decently with regular maintenance. I don’t know if it’s the specific model but I am able to take it apart and put it together pretty easily and found replacement parts. I’ve only had to replace the charger once cuz I lost it while moving. The only issues I’ve come across is sometimes the hose getting clogged and the brushroll getting a god-awful amount of hair stuck on it. I was wondering if the power fin brushroll might fit in it or if the connections between the parts match the connections on the Pet Plus. Anybody know?
