I know I know, we all hate shark.
I was gifted a Shark Rocket Pro (IX141H) and have been using it for the last couple years for regular cleaning. Surprisingly it’s worked decently with regular maintenance. I don’t know if it’s the specific model but I am able to take it apart and put it together pretty easily and found replacement parts. I’ve only had to replace the charger once cuz I lost it while moving. The only issues I’ve come across is sometimes the hose getting clogged and the brushroll getting a god-awful amount of hair stuck on it. I was wondering if the power fin brushroll might fit in it or if the connections between the parts match the connections on the Pet Plus. Anybody know?
on sale for $50 off this month.
It’s hard to tell how similar it is to other Shark vacuums like the Pet Pro. The reviews on the costco.ca website are pretty mixed. Anyone bit the bullet on this one?

hi all, fiance and i got both of these as gifts for christmas and we have no idea what to keep. we just moved into a 3 story (mainly carpet) and the lady wants a wireless vacuum since it will be easier to move around with, but we know that with it being 3 levels, we need a good charge to get it all done in one go. any insight on if we keep one vs the other, and preference on wired or cordless for a 3 story? would love some opinions/experiences. thank you!
Shark Rocket Pet Pro IZ162HC with Self-Cleaning Brushroll, HEPA Filter Lightweight Cordless Stick Hand Vacuum
We’re in search of a new cordless vacuum after a disappointing 2 years with our Dyson. We have a husky and 3 feral children. Any honest reviews or other suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks 😊
Budget: $350 Flooring: tile, wood and carpet
Are you considering buying the Shark Pet Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Powerfins Brushroll, 40 min Runtime, IZ240? Here’s my experience with wasting $200!
Decided to treat myself to an “expensive” vacuum. Got the Shark Pet Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Powerfins Brushroll, 40 min Runtime, IZ240.
It simply doesn’t get the job done. I don’t know how companies get away with this kind of stuff.
Battery lasts only 15 minutes on carpet, not nearly enough time to vacuum my tiny 550 sqft apartment.
Doesn’t work while charger attached. There is no cord option for reasons beyond me.
Takes several hours to charge.
Doesn’t stand up on its own.
It’s weak: 33 CFM pales in comparison to the average vacuum (50-100 CFM)
Before my first use, I charged the battery all day for a complete charge since it arrived completely dead (classy!).
I have a 550 sqft carpeted one-bedroom apartment. That’s pretty small. Using the carpet setting, while vacuuming at a reasonable pace, I was able to vacuum less than half of my apartment before the battery died. It lasted about 15 minutes. It doesn’t work at all when the charge cable is plugged in. It’ll be about 3 more hours until I’m able to possible finish vacuuming my apartment. I know it’s cordless, but regardless, how did a 15 minute time window EVER become acceptable for a vacuum cleaner?
$200 for this vacuum is absolutely unreasonable. This little thing is for cleaning up small messes, not routine maintenance of even tiny apartments.
TL;DR - my new vacuum has little to no suction, help!
I have a Charles from the Henry Hoover line(amazing vacuum) but I needed something cordless for daily cleaning. We moved from a one level house to a 2 level, so we got rid of our Roomba, Agnes. I did some research and settled on the shark rocket cordless Pet pro. I still use our old corded one at our cabin. It's been really sturdy for over 7 years. So the shark rocket seemed like a simple solution for what we'd be using it for. I bought it last week. The first two times I've used it, it worked beautifully. Then the third time it sucked things up, but the dirty fell out of the bottom of the roller hear as soon as it was turned off. The debris is not reaching the canister. I took it all apart. No blockages. Filter is clean. Battery is charged. I'm hoping it's something really obvious that I'm missing and not that I have a lemon. I really don't want to return it because I know it will just go to the dump. Does anyone else have experience with this?

Hello r/VacuumCleaners
I've got a $15 Walmart vac that doesn't really do the job in my carpeted apartment, and I'd like to upgrade to something more capable. I don't have pets, but I shed my own hair a lot. I'd also like to go with a cordless vac so I can use it in my car as well.
My girlfriend has a Dyson V8 that we really like, but I don't really want to spend all the money on another if we move in together in the next couple years. I was looking at the V7 on Amazon around $350, or BB&B has the "Shark® Cordless Pet Plus" on sale for $250 right now.
Are these good options? Or are there other vacs on the market for better prices?
EDIT: I just noticed the Dyson Refurb Store has the V7 Animal for under $200. Are the refurbs any good?
Hey guys,
I need to purchase a vacuum cleaner asap as I have moved. I have a small apartment thats mostly low pile carpet. I saw what I thought was a really good deal, a Shark Rocket Pet Pro for 140 USD (180 CAD), while they retail for 370 cad. I then went down the reddit rabbit hole and saw that Sharks are universally hated, but if its this heavily discounted, could it still be a good call if I only really need it for 2-3 years?
I also really like the idea of cordless stick vacs as it would be really convenient for the car. But I also see they seem to be known as pretty awful compared to any corded vac
Thanks for any feedback
I tried the corded style and immediately returned it. It instantly needed to be cleaned in the filter and literally couldn’t suck up a light piece of dirt right buy the tube.

I'm looking for a light weight vacuum that's under $200. I was previously using a cordless stick vacuum, however I'm tired of the vacuum dying with only a few months of use. I live in a two story house with vinyl plank flooring and a few animals. I'm currently pregnant so it's hard for me to lift much, but I'd like to be able to vacuum the stairs in the same way as I did with the cordless stick vacuum. The size and shape of the Shark Rocket vacuum looks similar, so I'm thinking I'd be able to use it in the same way, other than having a cord.
Does anyone have the Shark Rocket vacuum and have an opinion on it? Also, I noticed one has an anti-tangle beater bar, which is the one I'd get.
Hi, I cannot for the life of me find out where to get a new head for this darn vacuum. I somehow chipped a piece of plastic off of it and now it drags on my hardwood 😳. It’s only 2 years old. I can’t find any info on Amazon or the Shark site. Anyone?
Our Bissell pet eraser vacuum keeps breaking and we’re looking for a stick vacuum. Found a good deal on the Shark Rocker Pro Plus. Any thoughts on it? Can’t find much about it online, seems like it’s not being sold anymore. Is that a bad sign?
You should pick a reputable machine from the auto reply. Shark is known as one of the worst manufacturers to deal with.

Hi I'm in the market for something in the price range of the Shark IZ163H Pet Plus. I'm replacing an old Tineco A10. It looks like the Shark has about twice the suction power as the A10 and that's kinda what I'm looking for. My downstairs is LVP with a large area rug. I've read mostly positive reviews and it seems like this model is pretty good.. Any help would be appreciated.
Shark is widely considered the disposable lighter of the vacuum industry. Tineco is not even considered much of a real brand around these parts.
If you're looking for something for quick pickups I'd recommend the LGA9 or one of the cordless Hoovers.

TLDR: Needing help with the Shark IZ163H Pet Plus Cordless Vacuum (picture attached)
Hey all! Does anyone know anything about vacuums? Particularly the Shark IZ163H Pet Plus Cordless Vacuum (picture attached)? I got it for Christmas 2023. I was absolutely in love with it because of its “no hair wrap” feature (my dog, also pictured but for attention, and I both shed like crazy). Or, I was until I realized that means the brush roll, although accessible by taking off the bottom plate, isn’t removable itself. This ultimately means the base of the vacuum gets absolutely filthy and there’s very little you can do to clean it. Even the hair has built up over time. Anyways, it was a flaw I looked past until the vacuum stopped working earlier this week. I’ve checked for clogs (there are none), and I’ve tried it on various surfaces and with the other attachments. It works fine if I’m using one of the attachments, but not with the base. I’m no vacuum expert but I’ve done what I can to research the issue. Based on what I’ve found, I’m thinking the brush roll is the initial issue?? Although there is hair tangled in the bottom, it doesn’t seem to be causing the problem. The brush roll is difficult to move manually, as in with my fingers, and Google says this might indicate the drive belt, motor, or switch is broken. I’m assuming either of the latter two breaking would mean the attachments didn’t work either, so I’m assuming it’s the drive belt. Google also ever so kindly informed me that the drive belt is replaceable, but I can’t find a drive belt for my model anywhere online, including the Shark website. I’m worried it’s a total loss, but the damn thing was $350 (!!!) and I feel like it should last longer than 2 1/2 years?? Besides the outrageous concept that such an expensive appliance costing a week’s worth of pay would break so quickly, I’d really like to not have to drop $150+ for a new one. And, no, I don’t think a warranty was purchased.
Apologies for the word vomit but I’m stressed! This is quite literally only my second post on here ever. As in, I made a post years ago and later deleted the account because I never used it. I’m only 26 so maybe this is a long time coming, but some random from NextDoor sent me here so I jumped through all the hoops to make another account. That should prove how desperate I am here.
I found this vacuum on market place for $50. I have a dog and I like that it can turned into handheld. I currently have a kirby that I purchased in 2017. I'm not getting rid of it, but it's not my favorite. What's your opinion on the shark? I need something with good suction on tile and carpet.
For quite some time, I have been wanting to get a cordless vacuum. I did some research online, but wanted to see firsthand what the real difference would be between a corded and a cordless vacuum when used on carpet especially since my old vacuum is six years old I thought in six years cordless vacuums would be a lot better. Some of my local stores had similar models, but I figured I would pick one up from my local Costco given the return policy, it was 280 plus tax. I live in a small 800 square-foot apartment that’s 80% carpet with a small dog that doesn’t shed too much, but I always have the windows open which lets a lot of dust in. My old navigator I bought at Macy’s for $100 on sale it does not have a HEPA filter. Originally I wanted the cordless one so that I can get into places that my old navigator couldn’t get into since it’s not the lift away model. I used the cordless vacuum to do a first pass-through the entire apartment before going over it with the old navigator as you can see by the pictures the old navigator picked up a lot more that was left by the cordless vacuum. I will say I was surprised that the shark cordless model even picked up the amount it did given that I vacuum twice a week, but it’s still amazing that a six year old model that I’ve never had issues with thankfully was able to pick up a lot more. at this point, I think I might be returning the new one and just picking up the lift version of the shark corded model. I’ve seen some of them for around 150. I’m gonna try it out for another week.
Looking to get a new upright vacuum cleaner. This seems the one to go for, especially for animal hair. Has anyone used this one? Sharks previous products got a bad rep for breaking and expensive replacement parts. So I'm a little hesitant.

Next month I am moving into a 1 bedroom apartment, but due to the circumstances stances I’m not sure what type of floor the whole apartment is but I’m sure there is a mix of laminate and carpet. I stubble across these two shark vacuums and just don’t know. Please help. For some reference I do have long hair that gets everywhere and may eventually get a dog.
The first one is Shark Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum with Anti-Allergen Complete Seal - IX141H it’s on sale at target for 199.99 but was originally 259.99.
The second one is Shark Pet Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum with MultiFLEX, Blue, IZ340H which is on sale at Walmart for 199.99 but originally 329.99.
I'm looking for a new vacuum and I think corded stick vacuums are gonna be the best fit. Looks like Shark makes quite a few different models most of them under the Shark Rocket series. On their website they only list 4 different models but between Amazon, Costco, and a few other retailers there's probably at least 10 to 15 different models I've come across under the Shark Rocket brand. Is there any site that catalogs all the various Shark corded stick vacuums and compares them, even at a high level?
