Opinions on Shark Rocket
IMO hard pass. Since you have mostly hard floors check out a simplicity Jill. It’s super light in the hand because the motor glides along behind you, plus it has no “beater bar” which is actually a drawback with hard floors (and thus nothing for hair to get tangled in either). You can expect 3-5 years of life depending. More on reddit.com
Any feedback on this vacuum ? Shark rocket pro corded stick vacuum w/ odor neutralizer. It’s on sale at Sam’s club. Or any other recommendations for a corded vacuum that’s no more than $120+tax. I have a cordless Dyson V10 & I like the suction just hate that it’s cordless.
Sharks work great until they don’t. And when they don’t (nowadays), repair is often impossible or improbable. If you have your heart set on one and find a good deal, I would only buy it from a Costco or place with a similarly generous warranty/return period. That way if and when it dies in two years maybe you can take it back More on reddit.com
Garbage Alert: Shark Pet Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner is a piece of junk!

So, the Shark Pet/Rocket Pro…
Even Sharks benefit from regular maintenance. Sharks are notorious for parts not being compatible with one another. The Rocket Pro's brushroll isn't removable so replacing it with a powerfin brushroll is not an option. I don't recommend the powerfin brushrolls, many users have found that the fins break and do not clean carpets as well as the regular brushrolls, which makes sense that they bend so they won't agitate carpets as well. I wouldn't buy the Pet Plus powerhead for $89, I would buy an entire Pet Plus vacuum for $199, and you'll get a new motor and battery. If you have hard floors the best way to avoid hair wrapping on the brushroll is to get a vacuum without a brushroll like a canister vacuum or some stick vacuums. More on reddit.com

I'm looking for a light weight vacuum that's under $200. I was previously using a cordless stick vacuum, however I'm tired of the vacuum dying with only a few months of use. I live in a two story house with vinyl plank flooring and a few animals. I'm currently pregnant so it's hard for me to lift much, but I'd like to be able to vacuum the stairs in the same way as I did with the cordless stick vacuum. The size and shape of the Shark Rocket vacuum looks similar, so I'm thinking I'd be able to use it in the same way, other than having a cord.
Does anyone have the Shark Rocket vacuum and have an opinion on it? Also, I noticed one has an anti-tangle beater bar, which is the one I'd get.

Not great. On hard floors and edging it is OK. Long story, we used one only on the upstairs of our home. I had to replace filters so I brought up the other Shark Navigator from the basement while waiting for filters to arrive. Oh man. The Rocket left behind so much debris, I had to clean out the Navigator after one quick pass! I've been buying Sharks for years because my girlfriend always wants a better vacuum. We don't agree on designs, so upright is what I keep buying. I prefer to use the old Kenmore pull-behind with a floor attachment. If you do get the Rocket, clean it out frequently. I can't get my GF to empty the canister every time.

We Tested Dozens of Shark Vacuums—These 5 Stand Out Above The Rest
May 19, 2025 - They won’t pick up as much as an upright or stick vacuum, but they do a great job tackling daily tidying needs to reduce the amount of time you spend vacuuming otherwise. Handheld: These simple vacuums are extremely portable, making them a great option for spot cleaning little areas around the house, between sofa cushions, and inside your car. Review: The Shark Rocket Pet Vacuum’s Cord Didn’t Trip Up Our Tests
October 25, 2023 - In my testing, the cleaning head of the Shark stick vacuum only got tangled up on the cord once, and the vacuum’s attached cord keeper kept everything tidy once I was done testing. ... Generally speaking, vacuums aren’t a particularly tricky product to use, and the Shark Rocket is no exception.

October 13, 2023 - You also have to take into account its filtration, maneuverability, accessories, and special features tailored to your specific needs. Out of all my testing, the top vacuum brand ended up being Shark. Naturally, when given the chance to try out their latest cordless stick vacuum (that also self-empties!), I couldn’t pass it up.
