My place is only 792 squire feet. I have an older corded shark regular-size vacuum but want something smaller for a regular clean up and I do have a dog so I would like something decent for dog hair and crumbs on the counters and floor. I don't mind-bending. I have mostly hardwood floors besides a rug that I can use the larger vacuum when needed. I really want something convenient so I will actually use it. Trying to live a more clean lifestyle in many ways.
Just used my brand new Shark Wandvac with great expectations! HOWEVER, if you don’t want to get your hands in the dirt and hair you just vacuumed up DO NOT BUY. The power is great. Weight is awesome. BUT the “Hygienic one-touch debris emptying” is truly a 100% deceptive statement. I tried multiple times to do the one-touch empty process and it is purely a joke. I tried to keep my hands clean and use a paper towel to pull out the dirt. HA HA. It took multiple attempts and I needed to pull literally ALL the dirt out by hand. Yes, there was some hair/carpet pet hair and dirt from the corner of the baseboard, but the animal hair is from a non-shedding dog, so not a lot nor long. The dirt cup is also very small. Other than the size and shape, it is very poorly designed. I wanted to love it so much and have had other Shark items through the years. But this hand vacuum is a bust. And at $100+ it is a double bust.

Looking at this Shark handheld vacuum, currently $80 online. Is it cheaper in the warehouse, and is it worth it?

EDIT: Just noticed the linked product page says "Online Only" so I just placed my order online.
I recently picked up the Shark WANDVAC Handheld Vacuum to help keep up with the constant mess from my kids and pets, and here's what I found:
My Experience
Lightweight & Easy to Use: At only 1.4 pounds, it's super easy to grab and maneuver for quick cleanups.
Strong Suction: Surprisingly powerful for its size—handled pet hair and crumbs without a problem.
Quick Charging: The charging dock is sleek, and it doesn’t take long to juice up.
Limited Battery Life: It runs out of power after about 10 minutes, but it’s fine for smaller jobs.
One-Touch Empty: Emptying the dust cup is a breeze, but it fills up pretty quickly.
Overall
Great for quick cleanups around the house, especially if you’ve got kids or pets, but be prepared to empty it often and recharge frequently.
I'm also finding its declining in suction from day 1 to now.
Looking at getting this as a Christmas gift for my parents as just an extra little vacuum to have around. Does anyone have experience with this or recommendations for others around a similar price point? Thanks
I’ve been looking for a handheld vacuum and this seems really good, especially on sale. Anyone want to give their two cents?
I'm curious if anyone has tried both and which is better and why. I have the ultra cyclone but am thinking of getting the wandvac.
I'd like something to take with me in my vehicle to clean it up while waiting for my next job.
I hear the wandvac is lighter and more powerful and batteries are swappable.
Anyone have the new Shark® Wandvac™ System Ultra-Lightweight Powerful Cordless Stick Vacuum with Charging Dock?
Debating getting it unless anyone else really loves their mid-level ($200-$300) cordless. Looking for something super easy.
I bought a brand new Shark WANDVAC and it seems like it only has suction when the end of the vacuum is completely covered by a surface, and almost none when actually trying to use the vacuum unless on a flat surface and holding the vacuum at the perfect angle. It blows air like crazy out the side of the vacuum when there's no suction and stops blowing air when there is suction (ie. when the end is fully covered)
I dont know if this is what's supposed to happen or if im missing something. I don't think its the battery cause I've let it charge for days at a time multiple times
Anyone know what is going on?
More specifically, the Shark Wandvac WV201GNBRN is on sale right now, although I'd be down for any suggestions of Shark Wandvacs that are also wet vacs.
I'm disabled, and transient, and travel a lot (I don't have a permanent residence as of yet while filing SSI), and needing something small that I can keep by a bedside for occasional messes, and for cleaning off counters without having to wipe things up or off onto the floor (both are painful); it needs to be able to suck up wet food for related reasons.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
I don't really have a price range, although I'd be down to hear them at varying points; I was ready to buy a Shark Vac at full price for $130, but I genuinely can't find a single other device that acts remotely like the Shark Vac at any price point, so I'm down for suggestions.
It's possible someone else has already discovered this, but if so, don't tell me because I feel like a genius. Shark Wandvac, with the long attachment, can be used to suck up unwanted insects and/or arachnids from your home... humanely! Suck them up, turn off vacuum, observe your captive critter for some amount of time in the safe plastic container, and then fling them out side with the door trigger!
It's pretty fun and I like having a way to preserve their existence outside of my home.
Good hunting!
I have a shark wandvac stick vacuum, WS642. The battery has never lasted that long but over the last year or so it has been getting worse and worse with the vacuum only lasting about 5 minutes at a time now when I try to vacuum. Has anyone else had this issue? Do I just need to order a replacement battery?
Don't waste your money on this piece of crap. Hardly sucks anything up without having to go over it 5 times, anything larger than a 0.5" inch paper blocks the hole. Hopefully this post reaches others considering to buy this. Its a waste of money
Dyson has a sale going on. They’re offering the v8 absolute for $349 and the v10 cyclone absolute for $399. Are these worth it even if they’re older models?
Or am I better off just getting a Shark Wandvac for half the price ($180) or the Dyson Omni glide (even though it has much less battery life at $320)?
I saw a post that said the shark wandvac can bracts were pushed in too far. Just looked at mine and yea-I think that’s it but I can’t get them to push out to make better contact. Suggestions?
Love this thing 🖤
I believe the uphostery tool/cleaner is called the Multi purpose pet tool on their website. Go to their website, select Parts and Accessories, enter Wandvac in the search field, scroll down to the Wandvac, select it, then scroll to the end and you will see the Multi pet tool. Its description mentions that is used for upholstery surfaces.
