I live in a small space with hard floors, so I don't necessarily need a full size vac. This plus an occasional sweeping works perfectly for me day to day. The upholstery attachment does a great job vacuuming the two rugs I have. My previous experience with handvacs is that they normally start losing battery and then just stop working in less than a year, but this has been going strong for me this entire time. I also forgot to clean out the filter for 2 years (oops), but it still worked lol. And then it worked SUPER GOOD once I cleaned that out 😂 I probably use this every other day to quickly go over the exposed hard floor areas that collect loose hairs and dust with the extended brush handle, and quickly sweep over the rugs once a week. I probably spend 5 minutes doing either. This vacuum works well and really helps my place keep clean. I highly recommend it! More on reddit.com

December 21, 2022Has anyone bought the Shark WANDVAC Cordless Vacuum?
Haven't used this particular item but I've always had good experiences with Shark products (all purchased at Costco) in terms of utility, quality and durability. I'd buy one again if the one I've had for ten years ever goes belly up. I only got rid of the one before that because I somehow managed to pick up something very foul smelling and couldn't get the machine to stop stinking up the place even after replacing the filters. Insufficient on board storage of accessories does seem to be a theme for Shark as mine didn't make room for the extension wands and furniture/stair attachment included. I read a lot of reviews before buying one. A common complaint is that the battery doesn’t last very long (as in you can only use it for short jobs between charges). So it’s only for quick, small jobs. But I love it for that personally.

Just used my brand new Shark Wandvac with great expectations! HOWEVER, if you don’t want to get your hands in the dirt and hair you just vacuumed up DO NOT BUY. The power is great. Weight is awesome. BUT the “Hygienic one-touch debris emptying” is truly a 100% deceptive statement. I tried multiple times to do the one-touch empty process and it is purely a joke. I tried to keep my hands clean and use a paper towel to pull out the dirt. HA HA. It took multiple attempts and I needed to pull literally ALL the dirt out by hand. Yes, there was some hair/carpet pet hair and dirt from the corner of the baseboard, but the animal hair is from a non-shedding dog, so not a lot nor long. The dirt cup is also very small. Other than the size and shape, it is very poorly designed. I wanted to love it so much and have had other Shark items through the years. But this hand vacuum is a bust. And at $100+ it is a double bust.
