I have a leak on my copper due to electrolysis, and i’ll be putting a piece of pex in to patch it. I have some old Sharkbites laying around from many years ago, so i believe theyre the old generation couplers. My question is, how much shorter do i make this piece of new pex pipe than the bad piece of copper is that i just cut out?
