Shaw LVP is substandard
Why would Shaw honor the warranty when the installer installed it not according to the installation instructions causing a failure of the product? Shaw has like 20 lines of LVP all different qualities also, and they manufacture and distribute Coretec. Take Shaw's inspection report that says it's improper installation to your builder/installer and tell them they need to replace it. If they refuse you can sue them since you have paperwork showing they did not do the job proper and it caused a failure of your floor. More on reddit.com

July 8, 2025What is with online reviews of Shaw vinyl flooring?
I have used shaw flooring in hundreds of homes. I have supplied it direct from the warehouse and have installed it via menards. What most of those bad complaints are, is people buying the worst quality they can get, and then being upset it's cheap shit? The one talking about the floor coming up in 6 months, I would put money that it was a DIY who didn't install it correctly. Probably had it tight wall to wall and it buckled cuz it had no room to expand and contract. The floors do scratch fairly easily, but if you put felt pads on your furniture legs you're fine. And as far as dog nails, the vinyl planks hold up better than wood for scratches. Shaw is typically a very nice product. But they do have low quality stuff for realllly cheap. More on reddit.com

Could be the planks were not properly acclimated, Is it the newer ones that are popping up? Did they install the newer ones the same day that they brought them to your house, or did they allow them to acclimate for 48 hours or so before installing them? More on reddit.com

ABSORB should be the name of this product, we installed 2 years ago and have 5 spots that are swelled up. we had laminate prior to this floor and raised 3 kids and dogs and never had any problems. Shaw did send out someone to look at my floor a year ago and we still haven't heard nothing from shaw!! Junk floor and company!! Don't buy SHAW ABSORB LAMINATE FLOORING More on reddit.com

I filed a complaint and they sent out an inspector. They said it had installation issues. I am a machinist by trade and accused of being a perfectionist. That floor had a 1/4" gap at walls and not one tile was compromised. 5k wasted. I warn you to bypass Shaw vinyl plank flooring

Same as everyone else…peeling, cracking, splitting…etc. No one cares whether it be Chad from Shaw or anyone from CMT. We're in a 5 yo new construction home. From the onset we've encountered the Typical builder, installer, manufacturer fingerpointing over warping, lifting and delamination of SHAW L.V.P. flooring. We even have a forensic inspectors report stating improper installation. Stay away from HOMECRETE HOMES, CLASSIC FLOORS FARAZANO, & SHAW FLOORS. We had problems prior to closing and after. No one would honor any warranty even though the installer gave us all the lips service we could handle. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

With any reputable company(s) your comments are valid. All three HOMECRETE HOMES, SHAW, AND CLASSIC FLOORS FARAZANO refuse to do anything or even respond. So as I stated in my original post.....BUYER BEWARE.
