I am shopping for new carpeting for my bedrooms. Although I have been told to install hardwood or LVP since I have bad allergies, I still desire carpeting for my bedrooms.
The carpet store if pushing Anderson Tuftex manufactured by Shaw in polyester. They suggested either 100% Anso High Performance SD PET or 100% SD PET Polyester.
I had heard that nylon is the best fiber for wearability and had initially thought it would be my choice. Will I be making a mistake going with the polyester due to my allergies? I, however, don't want matted carpet in a year or two which someone mentioned as a possibility on a different reddit posting when using polyester. It is only my husband and I, no children or pets.
Thanks in advance for any comments!
We have narrowed down our new carpet selection to Shaw’s Pet Perfect Plus or their ANSO Nylon. I’m leaning toward the Pet Perfect because we have two dogs. I’ve been trying to find reviews by people who actually have this carpet in their home and what your real-world experience is with it.
And, if you chose to go with Nylon and have pets, how has it performed for you?
Thanks!!
