They use data analysis, AI and social media trends to target buyers outside of China. They use customer data and search history with the assistance of AI algorithms to determine emerging fashion patterns and preferences. They also encourage to share your data from other apps, including social media to earn discounts and deals, giving them access to more of your personal data.
Cupshe and Temu use the same business model as Shein. They all use forced labor (essentially slave labor); produce massive amount of textile waste and carbon emissions; along with the fact that they're stealing other people's designs (copyright infringement). Also, they don't sell their products in China. Here's more about it:

Cupshe is attempting to rebrand (and distinguish) itself by using biodegradable material to ship its products in and making their clothes using recycled fabric. The fabric is suppose to be a better quality than Shein or Temu, yet I couldn't find any analysis of the fabric used (to determine if it contained lead or other toxins, like Shein and Temu). They say they have sustainability initiatives, which have yet to be disclosed. They are doing an influencer social media blitz to get people to buy.

It's fine to like a contestant and support them but try not to expose yourself to harm in the process.
Chinese online fast fashion brand Shein has re-entered the India market almost five years since its ban through the country's leading retailer Reliance Retail.
Shein India Fast Fashion App from Reliance Retail currently has over 10,000 downloads on Google's Play Store and is ranked among the top-10 among peers on Apple's store.
The brand, now based in Singapore, offers affordable fashion products through its app and online stores in India -- one of its fastest-growing markets.
Shein was one of the apps that was banned by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in June 2020 after escalation of tensions with China.
