For our kitchen cabinets, I used primer + at least 3 coats (4 coats for some doors) with a sprayer, sanding and tacking after each coat, on both sides of the door. The doors look gorgeous, but...
Waited 2 months (!) after painting to let them cure, but the paint is still softer than pine wood. Fingernails dent this paint. Does the paint get any harder?
Everything was done inside, room temperature... I'm so disappointed, this was more than $1000 of paint and many many hours of work.

Emerald urethane is a modified alkyd which naturally has a slow cure time. If I had to guess, you used a dark color, deep base. Those take forever to dry, it could be soft for up to a month. Definitely will be longer because of the 3-4 coats. Definitely over-kill. Next time, stick to 2 coats of finish. If you want to beef it up, do an additional coat of primer rather than finish. I do dozens of cabinet projects a year & have never used that much product on even kitchens with 100+ pieces.

Replying to @Spécimen chèque Painting kitchen cabinets! These are stock cabinets from home depot and I am using sherwin williams emerald urethane paint in the color Gossamer Veil ( satin finish ). I ended up having to use two types of primers on these doors ( Bin shellac primer & sherwin williams extreme bond ) I ran out mid way through painting of rhe shellac one 🫠 Before painting the color I lightly sanded all sides of the doors with a combination of steel wool pads ( medium ) & 150 grit sanding block. July 30, 2019 - I am a cabinet and furniture refinisher and we use Emeral Urethane all the time and i spray through an HVLP with compressed air. I found that thinning with 22.5% distilled water gives outstanding results and hardness. I do a drop test sometimes for potential clients where i drop a cabinet door onto concrete in their driveway to show the hardness of the door. For rolling we use Sherwin Williams 4" Flockfoam roller, back roll nice and slow with even strokes, also we try to limit the time applying the paint, I do not thin or use any retarder when rolling and there are minimal brush marks.
