Shippo just capped the amount of labels you can make per month to only 30 labels/month. Wonder if there's any other shipping website like Pirateship that doesn't have a label cap without buying their "subscription plan". Mostly ship UPS and FedEx
I am a small seller and would be under the 30 label/month threshold.
Is it worth switching from Pirate Ship to Shippo? What are the pros and cons?

I'm launching a clothing brand and will be fulfilling directly for now, using the Shopify platform (no 3PL until it becomes cost-effective). I'll likely be shipping 15-20 packages per month the first few months after launch. Most packages will be between 1-2 lb and I'm only selling domestically in the US for now. I've looked into Sendle, because I like the idea of offsetting our carbon footprint which is aligned with brand and product ethos. But I was trying to avoid USPS because of the lack of good shipping tracking. I had been considering UPS as my shipper because it is a higher-end experience with more tracking which means fewer CS emails to answer. I had planned on offering UPS ground, 2-3 Day and an overnight option. But now I'm seeing that I may get lower rates by using these services, even as some of them have a subscription fee, I'm wondering if it's worth using a third party shipper. I have searched this sub for this topic but haven't found anything super-similar. Thanks in advance for your input!
So my girlfriend does custom paintings for people, usually around 10 per month, and on bigger paintings the shipping is around $150, while smaller ones still run $30 or so. She always uses USPS and averages less than 10 packages a month.
I'm trying to find a way to possibly cheapen those costs, and was looking into the discount shipping companies listed in the title but they all seem to be integrated into Etsy and Shopify. Does anyone have any suggestions? Every package is sized differently, so she can't use a pre-determined weight or flat-rate shipping box like these companies seem to offer.
Thanks for any help y'all may provide!
Trying to decide if I want to use one of these other companies.
What’re the advantages of using one over another? From a price perspective, the discount for the not-eBay appears to be the 2-3% I can get as my credit card reward as opposed to using my eBay balance, but the top line price is identical. Still, with ~1k/month in shipping, $20 in my pocket is better than in someone else’s pocket.
Which one is better? Ive just started selling on ebay and want to hear opinions on which one is better to use in terms of pricing, reliability, and customerservice.
After the recent struggles of my sales. I am considering using my own shipping since I believe the higher shipping costs are driving away potential buyers.
I’ve heard about Pirateship and Shippo that offer discount rates but I don’t know much about it. Has anyone have any experience with them? What are the pros and cons? Any advice or help will be appreciated
I never realized how expensive shipping was until I started selling things on eBay. I know eBay gives you a discount for buying the labels from them. is that really the cheapest option? do you use external shipping sites?
I've been buying shipping labels from pirateship for years but just for fun I checked how much the exact label cost for an order through ebay and it was the exact same price!
I exclusively sell on ebay and if they're giving me the cheapest labels possible guess there's no reason to use pirateship anymore.
I am growing (thank goodness) and trying to make sure I am picking the right one. Please help!
I’ve tried all three so far and find the prices tend to be slightly higher on PirateShip than the other two. Shippo customer service seems to be severely lacking. ShipStation is great besides being paid and the UI is also a bit more complex. What do you guys prefer to use and why?
My store has grown to the point (~250 orders a month) that manually handling shipping and labeling has gotten to be too much for me.
I dabbled with Shippo’s free plan years ago, but was put off from paying for the Pro plan as I scaled because of the negative reviews (mostly regarding customer service) at the time (plus I wasn’t doing enough business to justify that level of support). From what I remember of my experience with Shippo, it was pretty good (labels looked neat, system was user-friendly).
Have the issues with customer service been sorted? That would be a real red flag for me if not.
Can any current/recent users help me out?
Hey guys. I'm brand new to Etsy (well, about a few months in) and just started getting a lot of orders. I make large items to order, household items from wood and whatnot. Does anyone use Shippo or Shipstation? I've been looking into something that will let me print labels a lot faster than I'm doing by hand via USPS. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I'm currently using PirateShip.com for shipping, been using them for 4 years. I'm happy with the service, happy wirth the price but I recently signed up to Triple Whale to get deeper analytics. Currently my shipping is not added to the platform as it doesn't integrate PirateShip. It integrates ShipStation and ShipBob.
I do all my own manufacturing, storage, picking, packing and shipping. Should I move away from PirateShip to one of these shipping companies that integrates with Shopify and Triple Whale?
Has anyone else migrated away from Pirate Ship to something else and found the grass is greener?
Hey guys. Trawled a bit, but no real answer, so here i go...
Setting up a Shopify store, that will be sending primarily small (11x7) bubble-mailers out - mostly US domestic (first class or priority), but around 5% international. Was looking into a few shipping options as have been using USPS labels with Rollo printer and while USPS.com works, it's not so hot. So, my question...
I keep seeing negative reviews on Shopify app store re Shippo (more a recent thing. maybe a software update?) and seemingly not so hot customer service, but Shippo does more international options than Pirate Ship (DHL, FedEx etc). Anyone had any issues? Any pros, cons, alternatives
FWIW, Pirate Ship seems super user friendly. With easy to understand language and pretty intuitive.
Also: probably maxing about a dozen or so packages a day right now, but likely/hopfully will increase.
So... any help appreciated. (Apologies if this isn't the right forum for this!) :)
