Is there any difference between the Shokz SE model they sell at costco and the OpenRun and OpenRun Pro models they normally sell? I need to replace my OpenRun headphones I washed by accident.
I am wanting a pair of Shokz OpenRun and my measurements (8") put me in the mini (under 9.5"). However, I am only seeing Black Friday deals for the regular OpenRun. I wondered if any other petite ladies had tried the regular OpenRun size and if the mini size is truly necessary.
Se is just a costco branding apparently so they can undersell bigger box stores without price matching. Nice way around that. So they are essentially just original openruns.
Review is simple...
Love the idea. 10/10 for that.
Listening to music is God awful though. I don't know how anyone can praise the sound quality. There is no way it would ever amp me up even one iota to work out harder or push myself. I think I could get more amped up from listening to nothing. I think using these for music would actually take away adrenaline and just frustrate me. 1/10 for that.
2/10 total because it might be more convient than having my laptop or cellphone play music while doing the dishes but sounds almost the exact same. So I can at least use them for that.
If you like the audio quality, that's totally fine. This isn't an attack on your personal preferences. Don't take offense as I've seen some people do. You do you.
Wondering if someone can help me out! I just got the shokz open run 2 pro, but trying to decide if i need to swap them out for the mini. I was just on the edge of the sizes - it said 9.25” and below measurement should get mini and i was 9.5”. They fit roughly 2 inches from the back of my head which in itself doesn’t bother me, but when i look up even a bit they move around. Wondering if this is normal, or if it would improve if i got the mini?
Any advice on the fit of Shokz? I think I hate them, but it might be that a smaller fit could help.
I just ordered a pair (OpenMove) for running after reading a lot of rave reviews here, because I was looking for something that allows me to listen to music (for some less exciting runs in the city), while still being aware of the world around me.
But I think I hate them. They sit really loosely across my head so they don't feel like they will stay in place in front of my ears and the band at the back is ridiculously large - they hang down the back of my neck so far they rub against my collar and then move about even more.
I've since seen that Shokz have a mini size available that might be better for my (apparently tiny) head, but this is only available for more expensive models. I'm reluctant to spend even more money only to still be irritated by a big band sticking out at the back of my head.
Any reflections to help me decide whether to spend £60 more on a model with a smaller fit or just abandon the whole endeavour? Has anyone changed size and been happier? Perhaps they just take a bit of getting used to? Or, if I hate them now, will I most likely hate them for ever?
