Why is it so difficult to find the correct adapter to go from a makita tool to a shop vac (the actual Shop-Vac brand). My cordless router & compact circular saw seem to have the same size nozzle. I planning to get an orbital sander which has a tiny nozzle. The cordless hand held vacuum is a different size as well. Has anybody made their own adapters or found a fitting part online? I’ve been taping the hose to the vacuum attachment for too long.
3D printers are great for that, among other things.
Same when i searched for sander 2 vacuum adapter. If you want Makita adapter their website could be more helpful as it skips giving inner & outer size. What i did was listing every seemingly compatible adapter then i searched pictures of them and read comments / faq from seller websites when available. Eventually i bought it from a seller i knew would easily refund it i had been mistaking, but i agree it's such a waste of time.
Hey all,
I'm getting quite tired of the amount of dust my Dewalt orbital sander is spewing while sanding. I hooked it up to my Rigid shop vac, but I'm worried it's going to cause the shop vac motor to burn out as it seems the shop vac may be too powerful?
Anyone have a good sander I can pick up to limit the dust or know what HP of a shop vac I should be using to prevent it from burning out while sanding?
Hi all beginner woodworker starting on some barn doors for my house. I’ve made one set for my pantry so far and working on a set for bypass doors currently. Currently have a makita orbital that I have rigged up to my ridgid shop vac with duct tape but was trying to find a legitimate attachment from the dust port to the hose. Amazon lists a 10’ hose with a 3/4” opening but from the reviews everyone says that it does not fit the port. Can anybody suggest an attachment that will actually work?
