Citi has removed the Shop Your Way Rewards (SYWR) card from it’s retail store page card. You can still apply for the card on the SYWR homepage (until at least 7/9/25 when the current offer ends). Earlier this year the Citi Sears card was converted to the Citi ThankYou Mastercard. It’s unclear if this removal actually means anything, but if you’re interested in this card I’d recommend soon.

The Citi SYW card application link on the main SYW site was just removed. I think this is a sign that the SYW card is being discontinued for good. Transformco (Sears) owns SYW, and Transformco made a deal with Citi in 2018 to run the SYW card until 2025. There was an option to extend the deal for 2 more years, but it seems like the deal was not extended. At this time, all SYW card application links do not work.
Citi doesn't own SYW, so I predict that all SYW cards will be PCed to the "thankyou mastercard" eventually, or Citi will rebrand the SYW card to some generic Citi branding. This is very bad news as the "thankyou mastercard" is a 1x TYP on everything card. I hope Citi could allow us to PC to a more useful card like the DC or CCC, but that probably won't be allowed.
I just got the SYW card last month, so this is bad news to me.
