I want people from one business to get a discount without them having to type in a code. I am on the Basic plan.

Create a segment - https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/customers/customer-segmentation/create-customer-segments Then apply a a discount apply to all customers in the segment. https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/discounts/discounts-faq#can-i-send-discount-codes-to-a-select-group-of-customers If you're having trouble creating a segment, take a look at SHOPIFY FLOW - https://apps.shopify.com/flow . It's a free app from shopify, but you can do a ton of stuff with it. It's meant to replace a bunch of stuff we used to do in scripts, but it's for everyone. (Arigato would work too, but it's not free). E.g. I might make a flow that says "when a user is created, if their email address includes domainname.com, tag them as discount-tier" And then the segment is all users tagged discount-tier. You'll have to trial a bit.

Are there a large number of orders from this domain? If it's small enough volume to do manually, one easy option is to just give out a discount code to the individuals you are targeting. There's some risk the code would get leaked to the public, but that risk is no greater than the risk of someone providing a fake email. If an unauthorized user tried to use it, you could just cancel the order. An even simpler thing to do is just authorize the full amount at checkout and then manually capture a discounted amount, but this could be tiresome if you do a lot of orders.
