We're considering switching from our current POS system to Shopify but it seems like it is really dependent on the mobile platforms. Our current POS runs off a Windows PC, I really don't want to switch to a tablet for our checkout. Is there a reason Shopify POS can't work with PC platforms or am I missing something about how I can use Shopify for our brick and mortar retail location?

Normally I’d focus on suggesting a solution specific to your use case, but in this situation i’d implore you to further consider making the switch to tablet. It’s nothing new, it’s the modern way of POS systems in general and you don’t want your business and your systems to get stuck in the past. What’s holding you back?
