We use Shopify for our e-commerce and love it. We use Toast in our cafe. I’d love to have things more integrated like our loyalty program. Right now we have 2. One for online and one for instore. Shopify seems adequate for a retail shop, but does anyone use for a cafe with a kitchen?
Hi so I need some advice from restaurant owners using shopify. I own a small coffee shop and I am having trouble finding and deciding on what ecommerce platform to use for building my own an ecommerce channel. In general, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find the main ecommerce platforms like shopify, square, wix, etc, are just mainly built to sell regular retail products are not so optimized for restaurants. I have seen many themes and templates in these platforms designed for restaurants, but overall I find the user experience just odd don't you? I am looking for something more like a Uber Eats kind of thing were my site would just be a Menu and my food and combos would be displayed at plain sight and my customer could just add items to the orders and checkout. I just feel that the ecommerce platforms just give it a look like it was a storefront selling food and not a restaurant. Even the words “cart” instead of “order” among others stay that way when using a restaurante theme or template. I guess the question would be, am I crazy? Is it only me? Or is this a common pain point?
