I'm entering my senior year in college and, obviously, I'll be looking to start me career soon. My major is in Information Systems. My current resume is pretty full and I've had to narrow the margins and make the text a bit smaller to make it all fit on one page. Once I graduate from college though will I need my High school name or GPA or anything on there? Do employers care about that at all?
If they do look at it do they care that I took AP and IB classes or should I just keep it short and just put where I went and my GPA. Right now my High school section is only about 4 lines but I'm wondering if its necessary at all as I approach graduating.

I removed my high school information off after my first year in college since it didn't provide any added value. However, I know a few high school friends that keep the IB Diploma on their resume (in some matter) as an icebreaker. And since you're hitting the space limit, I would take it off since no one should care

If you are attending college, I would say you can immediately remove high school from your resume as an educational accomplishment - by being in college, it's assumed you have a high school diploma or equivalent. In terms of any impressive extracurriculars, jobs, etc. you did in high school, I would only include them during your freshman and sophomore years of college, if your resume needs extra padding. After that, leave them off. By the end of sophomore year, hopefully you've had other jobs, internships, volunteer work, clubs, etc. that you can now include. More on reddit.com

I am currently a freshman, and I applied to this one research group and they said they wanted to see my resume. I don't really have a proper resume, and I was wondering if I should put my highscool related stuff in my resume. I do know that it is generally not good to put higschool stuff in resume, but since I am freshman, I do not have that much to put on that i did during college(I do have one or two but not a lot esp since school started month ago). so should I put like my stanrdized scores(Ap scores, SAt scores) and GPA under my highscool in my education section? or do I just put in my highschool gpa? or should I even mention my highschool name there??

I did not go to college. I graduated high school 15 years ago. But, over the last 10 years I have owned a couple of successful businesses and I just sold my final one. Looking to get away from the business owner life and start a career while I’m still young enough to transition. I don’t see any value in putting that I graduated high school 15 years ago and I am trying to keep my resume to one page and that has already been a bit of an issue. I finally got it squeezed down but if I add an education section it pushes it to two. So I am just curious if ATS will auto reject me with no education section. I have not searched for a job in a long time and I am feeling lost in a lot of aspects of it.

You don’t need to put that you graduated high school 15 years ago because it’s likely not relevant to the role. I say “not relevant” because most jobs nowadays ask for a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Most job applications ask you what your education level is anyway. Good resumes are all about NEED-TO-KNOW information not good-to-know. If you were a 16-17 year old that graduated high school early, that would add value. If you had no work experience, it would add some legitimacy to you and also take up space. At the stage that you’re in, it’s pointless. Also while it is best practice to keep a resume down to one page, don’t sacrifice readability. Smallest font size is 10 and make sure you have plenty of white space so that your sections can breathe.
