I've used them for AC and Garage door. I think the work depends on the location. They just contract with a local contractor. some could be better than others.

I looked into it about a year ago, and decided against it. Price doubled from original quote to the third quote in about a week without adding any new features, and the rep kept blaming their new software for the issue. When I tried to talk to Costco customer service about it, they said they just put me in contact with one of their 3rd party suppliers, and that negotiation is between me and them, not Costco, so they can't do anything. So, long story short, Costco's not doing, supplying, or backing the work in any way. They're just making the introduction under their name. You're probably much better off trying to find someone local yourself, or seeing how Home Depot/Lowe's would handle you.

Has anyone had experience with the bathtub to walk-in shower conversions that the CostCo is now offering? Is the work of good quality? Does anybody have a price range of what it is generally costing? Thanks for any info!

I had an in-home consultation. They sent two salesmen that knew nothing about bathrooms or how the modification would be done. Kept trying to sell me on the one shower pan they had although I was promised they could do it any style.... then they gave up and told me they really just wanna sell me this "jacuzzi" brand product which is basically a fake polymer-stone and the store lady lies out of her ass because she got paid just for making the appointment. I hired a local guy to build it using floor and decor stuff instead. Costco guys don't even know anything about the work, much less be able to talk about quality installations... just find a good local contractor man.
