My preference goes to 2x2 squares when it comes to shower floor tile - although I suppose that comes from the perspective of them being one of the easiest small tiles to lay. Laying tile is time consuming but not difficult. Click lock vinyl flooring is easier. 11k sounds very high for 1 bathroom floor. $1,100 is more reasonable. 11k would do a whole house. More on reddit.com

If you try and change those tiles, plan on a full shower replacement. It'll mess up the waterproofing underneath and likely at least a couple of the tiles on the walls. I recommend just redoing the grout. Those look great and are very durable. More on reddit.com

Hi all,
I'm looking to have my entire shower redone. The house came with a cheap fiberglass shower base that has been impossible to keep clean, so I don't want another one of those. I've read on here that penny tiles are awful because they are hard to keep clean. I assume then that most small tiles are not great either, but then I've also read that large format tiles aren't good. So I'm not entirely sure what I should be looking at. What are some tile options that still look good, but don't require a ton of maintenance?

If it's cleanliness you're looking for than it would be a larger tile with envelope cuts. Bonus if you use a good epoxy grout as well I do agree with other comment, fiberglass base is much easier to clean and maintain, yes, some do get a little yellow over time from uv exposure and piss but that's on the occupants.
