Hey all – I have been renovating my fixer upper for a few years now and am finally tackling my bathroom which is thankfully the only plumbing work that needs to be done. I have the old tub out down to studs and am designing the new setup.
Long story short: what diverter valve to do you suggest for one input and three outputs? And what is the official search word to find this product? I have plumbing coming up from the crawl space, then I want to have a valve to select between a tub filler, a handheld shower head, and a rain head up on the ceiling.
I was thinking of using the plumbing already in place (normal diverter to select between tub and shower head), and then having an off the shelf in-line diverter on the shower head tee’d off to the rain head, but I am tall and so the second diverter would be too tall for normal people and this will be an AirBNB one day.
I am able to build anything and like to think outside the box so I don’t mind exposed plumbing, hidden piping, unique solutions, etc.
Here’s a schematic for what I am looking to do.
