Hi All,
I'm looking for an low profile Mechanical keyboard that is a similar thickness to the Logitech G915.
The board need to be quiet as I'm super twitchy about loud keyboards. I don't mind doing a custom build just need to know which parts to buy.. }
I'm super new to the mechanical keyboard scene so sorry if this is a noob question.
I've been using a Razer Deathstalker for the last 3 years.
Thanks

So, I'm currently using original DeathStalker. But after 10 years of use, its kinda broken.
So I'm looking for replacement, but I dont know how to look. There are so many options in regards to switches and I have no idea how do they feel or sound. I need a full layout(100%), wirelles, low profile, as little sound as possible (open space use), do not care about RGB.
There is also no place to try any of the keyboards. All shops are really far away.
I'm also not a fan of custom moding, i would like something that 'just works'.
So I had look whats available in my country.
DeathStalker V2 Pro
G915 Linear
Keychron K5 mechanical low profile Gateron brown
Keychron K5 Optical banana
Keychron K5 Optical mint
Can you share your experience with any of theese or why would you pick one over the other?
Thank you
Hi all, I hope you're all well.
For some context, I currently have a Logitech MX Keys Mini and I am now looking at some mechanical keyboards. I've had a brief look at Keychron and am considering the K5 Max and swapping the switches out for the Gateron Low Profile Silent Reds 2.0 if they are supported. That's about as far as I have got at the moment. Budget is approximately £150 ($205) overall.
To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of mechanical other than the feel. I think that the clicking is obtrusive to anyone else in the room or even the house for that matter, as they are normally too loud. Not to mention for general ergonomics and typing I just don't get along well with them as I have used laptops my entire life. However I do think it's time to move away from a scissor switches simply because of the customisation afforded to me if I would like to change out keycaps etc.
If anyone has any recommendations on a low profile, nearly silent, ASCI or ISO and 100% keyboard I would love to hear it. I am happy to extend the budget to about £200 at an absolute maximum for the right keeb.
Thanks!
