Siril Preprocessing Script for Seestars (both regular and mosaic modes) - Smart Telescopes - Cloudy Nights
Hi All, I posted a video back in December showing how mosaic stacking will work when Siril 1.4 is released and now that it's in beta, I was able to finish the automation script. The script will: - Plate solve all images- Register them With 1x Drizzle- Stack them- Do SPCC - Auto stretch It'll save... More on cloudynights.com

Script Execution Failed SeeStar S50
The error is 'lights' No such file or directory 5 lines up from the end. The way Siril scripts work is that normally you would have some parent directory like "M42" then within this you would have sub directories called 'lights", "darks", "flats", "biases" and so on. The scripts then expect the images of each type to be held in each directory. For S50 this is simplified because it simply doesn't generate flats, darks, biases but the simplified S50 script still insists that the light frames are in a directory called lights. So don't just create "Andromeda" and then put all your captured .fits files in it. Instead create Andromeda then within it create Andromeda\lights\ and put all your images in there. Then in Siril set the home directory to be Andromeda and the script will find the images in the lights subdirectory. More on reddit.com

It shows you how to preprocess all Seestar images with a simple script. It started out as a mosaic stacking script, however, I found that it works well for all images. Get the scripts on Github: https://github.com/naztronaut/siril-scripts

How to Process and Stack Seestar FITS Files in Siril | Perfect Astronomy
May 20, 2024 - Head over to the official Siril scripts repository and follow the instructions to download and install them, or for what we are after here, click into the preprocessing folder, click on OSC_Preprocessing_WithoutDBF.ssf and download it to your Siril scripts folder. In Windows this is C:\Program Files\Siril\scripts. Once installed, restart Siril. Next, we need to set up a folder to work in: the home folder or working folder. I like to copy the MyWorks folder from the Seestar to my data drive.

July 27, 2025 -

Hello fellow astro fans!I am enjoying my s50 for about a month now,ive taken some nice pictures, but my experience trying to process the data with Siril has been not very successful.Ive watched tutorials by Deep space astro ,i use the script for Seestar preprocessing make the 4 folders put my light inside, but alot of the images end up super noisy even after the procesing .The guy says that the loss of data during Stretching should be around 0.1percent , when i select the auto strech algorithm its always showing more than 1.5 or even 2 .And the image always looks better just processed in the app itself.I dont know what i am doing worng please advise.
