I made my digital portfolio in Google Sites
I like it. Performance check matches my experience which has some delays to render. I recommend reducing your pictures down more to reduce page load times. I use Google squoosh.app to help with that. I generally have a rule that max 200kB per picture and many I see are about 500kB. Remember when testing to test under poor network conditions so my 'slow' load with good Internet will mean very slow on poor Internet and can easily take up to 10 seconds. Edit: reduce page load times not increase. More on reddit.com

To be honest, GS is quite good for a portfolio but not the best. Anyway the site looks good maybe a contact page will be something to think of in the future. If you want to expand I would recommend going to WordPress. Have a nice day! More on reddit.com

Good video, but it's kind of "cheap" for a Google Sites tutorial to be for a filmmaker site. Picture and video content is the easiest way to make a Google Site look "matured" and "occupied", and requires the least amount of ingenuity to figure out how to make Google Sites work for you.
