From what I know (I don't work in the merchandising/buying side of things...) the conversions on Zappos are usually taken from the manufacturer, but in some cases where those details have been found to be off they will be conversions that we (Zappos) has found to be closer. We have had some issues where the manufacturer's conversions were so far off that we had to remove an item from the site until we could figure out the actual conversion and put the item back on the site... User reviews can be your friend in this case - people definitely let us know when there is a sizing issue! More on reddit.com

China sizing runs different. 45 fits like a 10.5/11. 46 fits like a 11.5/12... Dont get a 44 unless they say size down. Ex. Converse runs a size big. I wear a 12 which is normally a 46 but from China it fits very snug.. Just measure the insole of your shoe and ask them their measurements. More on reddit.com
