For those of have an adidas authentic jersey, how is the fit? Do you wear the same size jersey you do in a t-shirt? I typically wear a size L t-shirt and wasn't sure if I should go with the size 52 jersey which seems to correspond with size L, or if I should size down to the 50.
Hey there, looking to get my first adidas jersey! I’m about 5’6” 155lbs and usually wear a medium/large. I can’t decide between the 50 or 52 and would really appreciate some feedback.

I got my boyfriend a Maple Leafs jersey for his Christmas present. He's around 5'6-5'7 and typically wears a medium so I got his jersey in a medium as well (50), however, when I tried it on (I'm 5'6), it was kinda long on me.. almost reaching to my knees. Is this normal? Should I exchange it for the smaller (44)?
Edit: Thank you all for all the helpful insight and information :)! Based on most of your comments, I'll make sure to exchange his to get a 46.
Wanted to pick up a few of these practice jerseys to wear in full gear.
I’m 5 10” off skates and 180lbs. I typically wear a Large hockey jersey. I’m currently wearing CCM FT4 Pro shoulder pads in senior medium.
I’m unfamiliar with this sizing. What would you estimate I would need to play in?

I bought myself a Sharks adidas jersey and I have a question about sizing. The jersey is 50 but compared to all my other Adidas it is definitely 52. I compared it to my Coyotes size 52 and the shoulders, chest (armpit to armpit) and sleeve lenght are exactly the same (22/22/24,5 or 56/56/62 in cm - I measure sleeves from a shoulder seam). I asked one seller to measure his Sharks 50 and it's equal to mine. But... I asked another seller to measure his 52 and it's also equal to my 50. I'm confused even if it's not the first time I'm dealing with an Adidas quality control issue. Or can it be a feature of the Sharks jerseys?
If you own a Sharks adidas jersey size 50 or 52 (and even 46) could you please tell me its dimensions?
Quick question... Anyone with both know whether a Fanatics Breakaway Large fits similar to Adidas Authentic 52 Large? OR If I wear a Fanatics Large should I get an Adidas Authentic 50 M? Thank you for your time!
Definitely need some help my fellow Golden Knights. Never ordered an Adidas Authentic jersey before and wasn't sure which size I needed to get. Plan on wearing a polyester shirt underneath and I'm 6'1, 275. Any help is much appreciated.
If you are between sizes (check out the size chart that was posted), go up. Jerseys always look better a little baggy, plus you can always wear a hoodie underneath if it’s cool out.
I am 6’1”/200 and I wear a 52, but I have long arms and the 52 fits my shoulders perfectly but my arms just barely. It really would be best to find a store with any team jersey and try one on. Would suck to get one that fits your body/shoulders but is too short or too long for your arms, or some other combo.
Maybe also post your shoulder-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-wrist measurements if you have a tailor’s tape.
I have never owned an Adidas Jersey or tried one on so I don't know how the sizing works. I am around 6'0 to 6'1 and wear an adult large. I was looking into buying a jersey and did not want to mess up the sizing when buying one.
I'm 6 feet and wear both a 50(medium) and a 52(large). Not a terribly big difference but if you want a looser fit go for the 52. Also come join us on r/hockeyjerseys if you need any more help!
I’m 6’1 and weigh about 210.
54 with a hoodie is comfy. Feels a little long.
52 with a hoodie is fine. With just a T-shirt is best.
Also if you’re buying it in person, just ask if you can try it on. I do it at Bridgestone with jerseys. The employees understand.
I am 5’9 140 lbs. Size 44 length is good but too tight near the chest. Size 46 seems way too long and looks like a dress. Curious what size people wear with similar build?
Looking at buying my first NHL jersey. Have seen on this subreddit that the Adidas jerseys were usually preferred over the Fanatic jerseys. However this sizing is confusing me. According to the picture from the NHL shop website below, a 3XL in Adidas only has a 27.5 inch chest width? That seems outrageously small, the size for the Fanatic jersey seems normal/typical of a 3XL size. I did have issues with Adidas soccer jerseys not fitting over my shoulders and chest before, so I'm tempted to believe the chart and just buy a Fanatic jersey. It just seems odd that the chest measurement on the Adidas would be almost half the size of the Fanatic jersey, so I wanted to check if anyone has experience with both brands.
Hey i’m looking to get a nhl jersey im about 5’7 125 not a huge dude i usually wear medium/small for shirts would a medium be too big for a hockey jersey?
With the Adidas era coming to a close, how was it for collectors? Did we like what Adidas did with jerseys? I have a few thoughts and would be interested in hearing others opinions:
Negatives:
-Dimples. They aren’t as bad now, but man they took some time to get used too.
-Collars. They stretch easily. However, I do think they look sleek, especially on the ice.
-Sizing issues: RR 2.0 fit small. They all sort of flair out at the bottom like dresses.
-Making RRs rare. It’s going to be a pain and likely expensive to one’s hands on some of these jerseys.
-Their jerseys with laces look stupid
Positives:
-Quality is pretty good, especially compared to Fanatics.
-Always was able to find some great deals on most of their jerseys outside of RRs until recently.
-A plethora of exceptional alternative jerseys. I love the RR program, especially the RR 2.0 jerseys. They also put out some really nice anniversary jerseys. Some misses along the way, but definitely my favorite era of alternative jerseys.
-Throwback jerseys did look and feel like legit throwbacks.
-They nailed the look of Vegas and Seattle
-The colors on these bad boys really pop compared to Reebok, CCM, etc
Overall, I’d say it was a success. Again, what does everyone think?
Hi,
I am 36 and will begin to play ice hockey for the first time in my life.
I am 5'10" 180lbs with relatively large shoulder and a normal shape.
I have two young children and it's hard for me to find time to go try them at my local store so I was hoping to buy them from Sideline Swap.
My equipment looks like this:
Medium pants
Medium elbow pads
Large shoulder pads
15" shin pads
At home, I have a Small jersey that I used to wear as a fan with no gear.
I am wondering if my size is more L or XL? In number, what would it be? 52, 54, 56?
If you have similar height and weight then me, can you let me know what jersey size you wear with all your gear on?
Thanks!
I'm purchasing some new Adidas jerseys online but I'm not sure what size to get. I took a look in my bag but they all only say M, L, or XL. I'm 5'8" and about 160lbs. I'd think M would make sense since I'm usually M in everything else, but when I was looking at the authentic practice jerseys online, the minimum size I seem to be able to find is 56. I was looking at this site for sizing but I'm thinking maybe this is showing the sizes for if you bought a jersey to wear around town, not actually play in? Where can I figure out what size jersey I should get to actually play in while wearing shoulder pads?
Hi guys, I own a couple jerseys, but they are both Reebok premiers...I am about to take the plunge and buy my first authentic Edge 2.0 and I wanted to get some input on sizing.
There is not a local shop that carries the Edge, so I figured I would run it by you guys before placing my order. The Reebok Premier Size Large (L) fits me perfectly...I can put a sweatshirt on underneath, but it is not comically large when worn over a long sleeve T. I am 5'10" and about 190.
I am thinking that (based on the sizing charts) the correct Edge size for me is a 52...does that sound about right to you guys?
Thanks!
I’m a 46 in adidas, trying to buy a ccm blues jersey and was wondering if a medium would be okay since I heard the ccm jerseys run a bit smaller.
I have a question for you all, all charts says that the fits of these 2 jerseys are exactly the same. Is it true? I use an Adidas Indo 56 to play in with full equipment and I'm wondering if it will be the same for the Fanatics premium. Some people have said that the Fanatics is a bit smaller, I hope I'll be ok
