The biggest issue is that almost everything is beginner level, so once you’re past a certain threshold it stops being useful, but if you use a free trial than no harm in checking out the courses, I’d just say don’t expect anything near the level of a coach, more on the level of a longer and slightly more in-depth YouTube video. I've gotten a handful of paid gigs over the years hobbying around, but I'm plunging head-first into it this summer. I'm a big believer in the "forever student" mindset, so I'd love a regular lesson schedule to keep skill sharp. Unfortunately, I'm priced out of most coaching.
What are your thoughts on online VO classes from the likes of Skillshare or Masterclass? I don't mean if you've had direct experience with it. Would you (or a client) negatively judge a voice actor who's "training" listed classes from self-paced, online VO coursework?

In all the years I've done voice over, I've never been asked for references on my training. Take a lesson where ever you can get it. You may or may not learn anything. But then again you will always take away something. Like you I believe there is always something to be learned. V
