I'm feeding a Cyclic packager resin and acorns from my bonsais, but it ends up filling with acorns and stops working (since bonsai trees produce more acorns than resin). How can I prevent or work around this?
Iv made an auto amber machine with crates item ducts and servos, but the packager is getting over flowed with acorns
Personally I use the simple storage export cables, there's an inventory upgrade where once it transfers up to a certain amount of one whitelisted item it moves on to the next one. Helps keep things from overflowing, and you can move all the items with a single cable.
"... the packager is getting over flowed with acorns ..." looking to me like you transport only acrons to the packager
I've been trying to automated bonsai trees for ages now, but whenever I try to make something, it always gets clogged with acorns and has no space for resin. I'm probably being dumb but is there any way to fix this. I have a filing cabinet with everything being stored from bonsais and acorns and resin going into a packager.
I was running into an issue where my Cylic Packager would clog up with acorns because Bonsai produce more acorns than resin. It took me several hours to figure out the logic variables, but this system keeps the packager nice and ready for all that resin and acorns. No more clogging!
https://youtu.be/aBQDy8MVz5E is the video I made. Its one of my first real youtube videos, but I spent a lot of time streaming so its not entirely new to me. I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions to help me improve the next video make. Thanks guys!
idk what to do ive tried extraction cables and they dont connect to the filing cabinet and the packager so idk what to do if yall have any ideas lmk
I am trying to automate those things that need resin+acorn to craft (e.g. coal, iron/gold amber etc.). My current simple setup is just generators + packagers. It automates acorn-only items (redstone/diamond/emerald) quite well. But for resin+acorn items the packagers just get clogged up with acorns (since acorns generate faster than resin) and stop working eventually. Is there any way to balance the amount of resin + acorns?

How do I make it so it only will drop necessary items in the auto crafter so it won't be stuck doing nothing?
You can use Thermal itemducts and filters to limit the amount that can go in.
You can also do the same with Processing cables in Simple Storage Networks. That basically defines a recipe and only inserts one batch at a time so there's never extras in the machine.
Integrated Dynamics would also be possible, but it's honestly overkill for this.
Xnet can also limit the number of items it inserts into an inventory.
And then, of course, AE2. But I suspect you haven't gotten that far. Likely not even far enough for Xnet. So stick to the thermal pipes or processing cables.
Make an electrum filter and set to keep a stack of acorns and resin in the auto-packager, you get more resin than acorns so if you don't do this the packager will eventually fill with resin and stop working.
So I made packagers and it doesn’t fill up with the item extractions it only fulls with acorns and the resin doesn’t fill up what do I do?
So I have my bonsai hoppers going into a filing cabinet and I was trying to, from there, pull the resin and acorns into packagers to auto make resources and amber but once it runs out of a certain type (resin or acorn) it fills up with the other and makes it all stop. Is there any way to make it not fill up with only one item and jamming it?
Hey guys,
So i'm trying to use packagers from cyclic to automate my amber production, however the problem i currently have is that they get filled up with acorns at some point. Does anybody know a way to improve this?
