Then run some ME glass cable to the crafter you have setup and use an ME Interface block Using the interface block you can specify exactly how many of an item you want exported. Then you can use the item transfer method of your choice to export from the interface and into the crafter. I’m trying to make the Amber process more automatic and I have retrievers pulling acorns and resin from crates to a packager. I have it set to only take 64 as I don’t want and over load of one or the other but for some reason it works just fine for 2 mins or so but then it gets 64 resin and just stops pulling acorns out all together. I don’t know why this is happening if someone could help me out that be great

So I have bonsai hoppers connected to a chest and from there a pipe takes acorns and resin into a packager to make amber but my main issue is that acorns are more common than resin so the packager will get filled with just acorns periodically and I'll have to dump the acorns out to start production again. So is there a way to limit how many of acorns and resin can go in.

If you use itemducts with reinforced or better retrievers,you can limit the amount of items that get put into packagers.

I've been trying to make a automatic bonsai farm. The item extraction under the chest sometimes collect the items inside the chest however whenever the chest clears it does work. Can someone please help or tell me why this type of system wouldn't work. Thank you guys :D

When I was playing SF4 I was constantly annoyed with the cyclic cables. They were very inconsistent. My recommendation is to use the bonsai's on top of filing cabinets with folders for the drops you want. Then connect all the filing cabinets together using simple storage network or your AE system.

I found that if you stack a bunch of item extraction cables like you did, the internal buffer in the cable can block cables behind it from extracting. So if the closest cable consistently is pulling items, it won’t let others do it, or it will be very slow. My automated bonsai farm is like the xanros said, bonsai feeds directly into a filing cabinet, reinforced retriever takes one stack each of an acorn and resin, going to an assembler, and a single extraction item cable going back into the filing cabinet. They can touch other item extraction cables because the items won’t share a common path.

So I have my bonsai hoppers going into a filing cabinet and I was trying to, from there, pull the resin and acorns into packagers to auto make resources and amber but once it runs out of a certain type (resin or acorn) it fills up with the other and makes it all stop. Is there any way to make it not fill up with only one item and jamming it?

July 3, 2016 - There are new Servos, which look like the old arrow connector your used to. The H shaped Pneaumatic servos are now only for crafting. There are also filter's and retrievers. Filters are exactly what they say, Retrievers will pull from inventories on the other end of ducts.

I decided to move my massive Bonsai farm inside one to hopefully clear up some of the lag I have, but I can't figure out a way to get the drops out and into my base's storage system fast enough to keep up with the farm

First option, pipe directly from your bonsai network into a tunnel, pipe from the outside of the corresponding side of the compact machine into an interface, no need for servos or retrievers anywhere. Second option, pipe the items into an inventory (a chest) and place it next to a tunnel. Place an import bus on the corresponding side of the outside of the compact machine. Not fast enough, add acceleration cards to the import bus. Not fast enough, pipe into another tunnel and add another import bus.

While we're at it, does anyone knows a way to move chests from one machine to another? You can pick it up, but then your hands are locked and you can't activate the remote!

Assuming you can create dirt you need to make a patch of grass 20x30 ish and put it like 25-30 blocks away from your main area Keep it lit up and in a biome that isn’t the beach/ocean, and you’ll get animals and hopefully its a forest or plains as those would be best I haven’t played SF4 yet but i have the other 3
