Is Sleep Number Climate360 ($13500) the only option for an adjustable bed base with active cooling?

My Honest Review of my Sleep Number Bed
Sleepnumber bed owners, do you like them and were they worth the money?

My wife and I are considering the Sleep Number C360 (https://www.sleepnumber.com/products/climate360) and need advice.
My wife wants a split adjustable bed base because (i) she reads in bed for long periods and wants a raised head; (ii) she wants to raise my side of the bed when I wake her up with my snoring; and (iii) she's intrigued by the "zero gravity" positioning, which was comfortable in the Sleep Number showroom.
I want active heating/cooling because I'm a circulation nightmare. I'm constantly freezing while I try to fall asleep but covered in sweat when I wake up. I've experimented with different mattress pads, sheets/covers, AC settings, and opened/closed windows. Nothing's worked yet.
Money isn't an obstacle for us, but $13,500 for a bed sounds unjustifiable on principle alone. Most of Sleep Number's marketing is obvious bullshit, and the markup on this C360 option must be insane. And much of that markup presumably is for the adjustable firmness feature, which I don't really care about (both my wife and I are basically fine with medium firmness... we only care about the adjustable bed base and active heating/cooling).
Mostly I'm put off by the couple of negative reviews I've found for Sleep Number online, including more than a few on this subreddit. But I don't know what a good alternative is for a couple who wants a premium option for an active heating/cooling mattress with an adjustable base.
Do we swallow our pride and get the overpriced Sleep Number model? Or is there a recommended alternative we're not considering? Does anyone have advice mixing and matching, say, Eight Sleep's active heating/cooling mattresses or mattress covers with Tempur-Pedic's adjustable base beds?
We have an 11 year old Sleep Number mattress that we have been quite happy with over the years. Time has come to upgrade it, and we want to get an adjustable base as well. And this is where the things get interesting.
SleepNumber's split king base (FlexFit2) runs about $3000. And it is nice, fit and finish and all. But a comparable base from Blissful Nights or Sven & Son is about $1200-1400, from Costco/Sleep Science is $1000.
So, for those of you who own comparable adjustable bases:
- Am I missing anything? Or SleepNumber's base is marked up purely due to brand name?
- Does SleepNumber base ever go on sale?
