Not a Reddit, but when I lived in a really tiny place I found a lot of useful ideas/inspiration on Apartment Therapy. They have tours, design, and organization and project ideas, and they used to run the "Small Cool Contest" although not sure if they do it anymore. IMO, you're definitely on the right path. You choose a smaller sofa instead of an overwhelming sectional, and you suggest possible changes that will work. As crazy as it might sound, sometimes going bigger in a small room actually makes it feel bigger. Get a larger unit on the TV wall - and consolidate your books, albums, turntable, etc. there. IDK what area you're in, but look at stores like Habtat for Humanity Re-Store, consignment stores, auctions, estate sales, and you can find a good piece at very little cost. If you sell the two pieces you have, you might end up with an even trade. If you keep the coffee table, it would look nice to bring that light wood color into other areas, like boxes or baskets on the shelves. Do you want to add any color? Window treatments? You’ve got a lot of little stuff. You’ll need to balance that with a few big pieces, as well finding ways to store a little of stuff out of sight like in baskets etc. I’d recommend a long brick and board shelf for your tv, plus to store stuff and have baskets to put a way a lot of stuff. It should be most of the wall. I’d get a go art for the right of the tv. You might get some colorful crochet curtains, or get them in natural oatmeal color. Get rid of the table with legs and move the square table in the middle. Go thrift shopping and find two upholstered chairs that relate to each other well. They don’t have to match, just relate. 3 small art down the middle between the windows. Maybe some patterned colorful throw pillows. More on reddit.com

Hello fellow enthusiasts ^ our family of three (husband, wife and a toddler) are moving to this 78m2 apartment in a couple of months. In the images are the current tenants stuff.
Would be very grateful for organizing/colour palette recommendations and furniture arrangement ideas!
We have two large motion desks with computers moving with us.
Also as you may I see the kitchen space is very small. Where would you put a microwave/rice cooker/air fryer?
So far our idea is to make the least sunny room our bedroom/computer space; the bedroom as a kid room, and the tiniest room as a wardrobe room since it also connects to a laundry room (not in the pictures)
Layout: the kitchen is on the right from the entrance door, on the left is the living room, they’re not separate with a wall, it’s one large room. One bathroom is right behind the kitchen and one is connected to the darker room (smaller rectangle window).

If the bedroom has decent hanging storage, I would consider dropping the closet idea and opt for an office and maybe downsizing your wardrobe if possible. I’m a really firm believer in traditional feng shui and i think it’s important to separate sleep and work. I would have the couch on either the wall with the shelving or the opposite wall, and keep the living room furniture within the wooden square on the ceiling. The dining table is probably the trickiest part, but you could use straw zabuton / floor cushions and eat from your coffee table. As for the color palette, walls and floor are versatile enough for almost anything of your preference.
