r/Renovations on Reddit: Are big tiles in "small" bathroom dumb?
July 31, 2023 -

I'm renovating my bathroom and going nuts over the tiles choices. After going around hardware stores for weeks, I ended up on one tile, because it had the best looking finish/color/texture etc... but it's 30x90 cm. (about 1 foot by 3 feet). Some people have told me that big tiles on the wall would look dumb.

My bathroom isn't the biggest, so I'd have 2.9 tiles in width, 2.3 tiles in depth and 8 tiles in height. Do you think it would look dumb?

The other options for tiles I've been thinking of are either 30x60 or 20x50, so they'd still be somewhat big.

A dumb idea I just had would be to cut all tiles to be 30x45, but that might look dumber..

Once I figure this out, I can start thinking of the floor...

This is what the tile looks like.
