How much does a kitchen remodel increase home value?
A kitchen remodel can increase home value significantly, with a return on investment (ROI) ranging from 50% to 80%. A well-executed kitchen remodel that enhances functionality, aesthetics, and energy efficiency attracts more buyers and commands a higher selling price. Smaller remodels can have a higher ROI, since less cost is invested than what would go into major or complete remodels while still offering valuable enhancements.
In what order should you remodel a kitchen?
First, start with any planned structural changes. That includes demolition and installing new gas lines, piping, or lighting. From there, complete any projects that require a lot of construction to install. Paint your walls while the space is mostly empty, install the cabinets before the countertops to ensure the former doesn’t get damaged, and save all cosmetic changes (like installing new light fixtures or hardware) for the very last moment.
How much should I budget for a small kitchen remodel?
You should budget between $10,000 and $20,000 for a small kitchen renovation. If you already know you want to dress your kitchen to the nines and invest in high-efficiency smart home appliances, high-grade materials, and lighting, you may want to increase your budget to $25,000 or more to anticipate the higher costs.
Title . I live in the same floor plan as this house and would love to do this to my kitchen. Any idea how much a remodel like this would cost? Keeping my appliances. Don’t need custom cabinets (Home Depot/Lowes is great)
Note my current house has a wall where the kitchen opens up to the living room in the video. So would need to get that removed. Thank you!
Recently put the finishing touches on our little kitchen. It was a slow process but we waited to pull the trigger until sales came up. Ended up costing about $5000 for everything. Most expensive things being new appliances (GE) for $1900, thanks to Home Depots Black Friday sale. Then the quartz countertops were $1850.
Spraying the cabinets was by far the most time consuming but I like how even the finish is and I can still see a hint of texture from the wood grain in the right lighting. Obviously, new cabinets would have been great but the diy route only cost me about $250.
My wife picked all the design options and I just did my best to make it look like I knew what I was doing. It was the first time I’ve done many of these upgrades but I’m pretty happy how it turned out for the budget.
