The patio table is specifically designed with gaps so water won’t get trapped in the rain. It would probably require a lot of redesigning to make it waterproof (ETA I’m also a beginner so this is just my best guess) Could you just use nice waterproof storage boxes on the lower level of the patio table? Or maybe another design. Note that the space between the upper and lower level is quite small for me. I also accidentally swapped the wood width adding to this. Outdoor table / storage?

I had same the same problem - went ahead and built my own: https://imgur.com/a/vLe4sDK Made my own concrete counter top and base out of cedar and 4x4 treated wood. Get creative with it. I don't consider myself too handy and this was fairly easy, all you need is a screw gun, saw, and some patience. There are great youtube videos for concrete molds as well, it is fairly simple. An outdoor table I built for a small restaurant. It folds and rolls on wheels for easy storage at night.

The table itself is from reclaimed redwood that I planed and sanded. Four coats of poly for easy cleanup. The rest is cedar for outdoor durability. More on reddit.com
