Smart kitchen ideas
Here's the plan: set up a George foreman right next to your bed with a smart plug. Load it up with bacon the night before and have it turn on 10 minutes before you wake up. Everyone likes waking up to the smell of bacon and there's nothing that can go wrong.

I don’t have one smart enough (yet) but friends of ours do use automations on their dishwasher and washing machine. Later Miele models let you load multiple doses in advance so running them remotely is more feasible. Still seems like a bit of a gimmick, personally I would just add lots of extra power points/usb chargers and a tablet dock

Hey everyone, I want your beautiful brains to help me with ideas for my future kitchen. I don’t care about the usual stuff. Smart lightning, hvac, blinds or Vaccum. All of that is already considered. As well as, the usual kitchen appliances, I will have a fridge, whether it’s smart or not, it’s irrelevant.
What I’m looking for are out of the box smart home concepts that are more advanced than the norm. Things like “cut the main water supply if leak in the bathroom is detected”, but in this case the focus is the kitchen. What you guys got ?
Looking forward to your ideas!

With a small vibration sensor (that you can DIY with a piezo), you can create routines (I use node-red in Home Assistant) to alert you if your dishwasher is done, or if it hasn't been launch in a while meaning you could have forgotten to do that.
I'll edit the post when I recall what I wanted to do when I get a bigger appartment 😅
