Software Testing Tool Cons?
I have been using Katalon Studio for about a year now. My QA team has little to no experience with code so I was pinned with an interesting situation. I'm very happy though with the software and the community around the tool. The devs are constantly updating the tool which is nice too. With it, I have been able to create a testing framework built in Java/Selenium in which the rest of the team pretty much just drag/drops modules in order to test products. It was certainly a good amount of effort up front, but now the return on it is a lot of time saved! More on reddit.com

I started with Selenium, and I've used Cypress, Playwright, and Katalon since then. Every tool, in my experience, boils down to this: "We have made something that is easier to use than Selenium, by cutting out the complicated parts of Selenium." Which is totally great, until you NEED those complicated parts of Selenium, because QA gets complicated sometimes. More on reddit.com
