Hi folks - I have a 30" Yukon, they call it the Canyon now, and I ordered a heat deflector for it. My own fault for not reading more carefully, but I didn't realize the Canyon deflector only technically fits the Yukon 27" model. They sent me an adapter ring that effectively necks down the opening to the 27" model, but the legs on the deflector don't seem to sit properly, it always has one that is just half on the edge of the adapter ring and it ends up wanting to slip off and tilt easily.
I also ordered the Lid, but now it feels silly because I can't use the 30" lid with the 27" adapter, and I don't relish the idea of having to grab the adapter ring and take it off while hot to put the 30" ring on so I can use the Lid. Apparently Solo Stove doesn't offer returns/exchanges, they were very responsive to emails but unfortunately my attempts to get a 27" Lid exchanged won't go anywhere.
I was wondering if anyone with a Canyon has modified or bent the legs in such a way that they can span the 30" model's ring? I was going to start playing around with it but was hoping someone might already have a solution before I beat things up haha.
Thanks!
Just got the Canyon today and the heat reflector.
If I leave the fire ring installed, the heat deflector is way wobbly.
If I install the adaptor solo stove sent pointing up, still very unstable.
If I install the adaptor pointing down into the stove, it fits much better but the support rep said not to install it pointing down.
The photo is the most stable of the options unless I’m missing something. Any advice?
Thanks !!!

Trying to decide on whether to get the canyon heat deflector before this sale ends Anyone have it?
I’ve read that it’s actually a 27” but comes with a step down adapter which is kind of a let down however I’m wondering if the benefits is still there since it would be used with the surround.
Currently planning to pick up:
-
pellet adapter
-
shield
-
surround
C'mon SoloStove, you know the adapter ring for the canyon using the Yukon Deflector is BS. Stop trying to take the easy way out and just make a Heat Deflector specifically for the Canyon. We bought this monstrous firepit to use all of it instead of having to choke it down.
