I wouldn’t put that on till it’s cool to the touch. I bought one and ended up never using it. My Yukon sits outside all winter (rain and snow). First fire tonight, enjoyed making s'mores!
How long do I wait to put the shelter cover on the stove? I watched the YT about when to use the lid, but can I put the shelter on before morning and just clean up the ashes whenever?
At this point, I'm planning to clean out the stove tomorrow and cover it, but trying to figure it out in case it rains overnight in the future.

It’s a very dicey situation. It’s stainless steel but it’s not immune to rust in some weather situations. I think it comes down to timing. If you want it cool and covered by 1am. No more logs after 11pm or so.
