I know nothing about sprinkler systems and am generally more of a lame when it comes to taking risks with fire. The website suggests 6ft from building and 15-20 feet of clearance from patio overhangs. Considering it’s an apartment, I’d be nervous lighting it up. If I was in my early 20’s though, I’d be breaking down pallet wood on the balcony and filling that thing up. More on reddit.com

They kick out heat. You have to feed it somewhat continuously. It depends on your expectations. I like mine, not necessarily for heat, but for ambiance that happens to also kick out some heat.
