How do I cook on the Ranger?
Does the Ranger come with a cover?
What type(s) of wood should I use as fuel?
We have a small city/rowhouse yard that's really just about 12 ft wide by 18ft long. Trying to decide between Bonfire 2.0 or Ranger and really can't quite tell if the bonfire would be too large/put out too much heat or would fit ok right in the middle of our space and be able to fit 6 or so people around.
Anyone else with small spaces have experience?
Hi Yall, I recently came across these SoloStoves and through they would be pretty nice and easy to use for camping. I have tried to specifically find an answer when it comes to which would be best for car camping but haven't really found anything definitive.
It seems that if its for backyard use the bonfire is the way to go, but I am going to travel with mine often.
So that is my question, which one is better for car camping? This would be my primary use.
I would probably also use a combination of pellets and wood? I really want to give pellets a good shot.
Thanks!
I cannot overstate how excited I was to get this thing and it burned like a regular fire pit. It’s so short that store bought bundles stick out the top & smoke a ton. I put two pieces from the bundle in & nearly 2 hours later one is still sticking out of the top. It roared a little when I added some small stuff to it, hoping to gut this guy to fall, but no luck. I’ve got a nice base of coals but I’m just waiting for it to die out now to go inside.
Anyone else have a really lackluster first fire, and how do you get a ranger going with firewood the length of a face cord (24” or so)?
