I've been loving my Yukon so far. I have a covered patio and shed that I can move it to when not in use or when it rains, but obviously a lid or shelter would be better. What would people recommend, and are there good third party options? I'll get the name brand stuff if it really is a difference in quality, but $70 for a glorified tarp seems like a bit much, especially when I've seen reviews saying they aren't the best quality.
What is the Solo Stove Yukon Lid?
Does the Yukon come with a cover?
Are the fire pits stationary, or can they be moved?

Does shelter have to touch the ground?
It's probably best it doesn't touch the ground due to the possibility of sitting in water. My outdoor furniture covers touch the deck in certain parts and those parts allow rainwater to pool up and create mildew/mold, not sure what it is. Kinda hard to avoid touching the ground in those areas but I wish I would hike it up a bit to avoid the water.
I'd say you're fine. You're protecting the majority of it and, most importantly, you're not allowing water to sit on the fire pit/Lid itself.

I have the Yukon shelter. While it is nice quality I am disappointed that it does not have any way to secure the cover as many generic covers have. A drawstring/toggle at the bottom edge would make a difference in windy conditions. I like that it has the inner support stays on the top but I have seen generics that include this feature in addition to some sort of closure at the bottom. But I am fairly new to owning a Solo Stove so am curious what others think.
