May 8, 2024 - I remember seeing maps like these many years ago and have always been confused as to why they would concentrate in some of the coldest states. Add to this that also in Europe they seem to have concentrated in the north. Probably in both cases it comes down to refugee related policy. It could also be because these places usually, for a reason, have quite low populations. So the same number of refugees there will cause a higher percentage of the population to be of that ethnicity than in a larger country. I'm from Finland and there's a high concentration of Somalis especially in the largest cities.
