I think this largely comes down to how much you value the “surround” sound. I for example will not be able to go without a surround option after being spoiled by Sonos 5.1 (Playbar + sub + 2 Ones) for years but if you are looking mainly at a sound bar Bose 700 is the superior option.
I would decide based on wether you plan to go surround if you do go with Bose 700 in the future. In which case going with sonos soundbar then adding the surround would be the better choice.

Bought my self a new LG TV with eArc Hdmi, and now I was looking for some soundbars, I often hear that like anything below 500€ is not worth it as a good soundbar (some even say anything below 1000€), but I simply dont want to spend so much money on a soundbar. So I came across the Sonos Beam which looks good, because it also comes with an eArc channel and, what I like about it, I could also use it just with my phone and listen to some Music with it. So its kind of a 2 in 1, a soundbar and a speaker. Becasue I think most soundbars are only connected to the TV.
But I wonder as a soundbar is it worth it? Do I really get a better sound, or only if i buy the subwoofer and Sonos Ones altogether

But even with the Beam Gen 2's considerable capabilities (both DTS Digital Surround and Dolby Atmos music support was added via a firmware update after I had completed this review), its Atmos performance turned out to be a bit disappointing.
