I'm looking for a device solely for music that I can use for working out or just listening at home and I want to get the A100s since it's the "cheapest" Walkman with Android and all the other features I've seen.
Has anyone here got experience with it or is there better alternative I can get instead of this? Do you think I should wait for the next Xperia phone instead? (Which I plan on upgrading to)

Has anyone heard of a Sony W2022 5G coming out in December, 2022? The YT algorithm presented this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ed3Iwk8DdU and this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Dy6Bwjs15E but the Sony site does not have any information.
This will rely on looks, sound, and the experience that walkman owners have
(Note: Sound quality is optional, you do not have to take this seriously, this is just a question I made up...)
Sony released Walkman NW-A105 two years ago, I don't have it but I read a lot about this player. Biggest concern for everyone is battery line and it's crap. Currently I have NWA55 and I love it, battery life is awesome but what is very annoying is downloading music over cable and downloading music from internet. I so used to Spotify. Wonder if there is any affordable android walkman coming out soon, I wish to see update for NW-A105 but with 2x or 3x battery life. Does anyone have any information?
Thanks!

There are a couple of options, traditional dac+amplification or s-master d-class amplification, with the s-master coming up for replacement

Sony is planning to introduce a dual 4.4mm + 3.5mm connector to its phones, having experimented with it before, this is going to be finalized

Take this with a huge grain of salt. The user 'Undead' already leaked some stuff in the past, but he wasn't spot on all the time.
UPDATE 1:
Undead added two drawings:
First picture:
4 holes from left to right : 4.4 headphone hole, 3.5 headphone hole, bottom pickup microphone hole, Type - C
Hole diameter : 5.65mm, 3.5mm, 2.2mm
The proportions are a bit off on the design drawings, but it's good to understand the actual shape
Second picture:
5 holes, from right to left 4 speaker holes, the fifth is the noise-canceling mic port, hole diameter are 2.2mm
5.65mm because of the gold embedded, give up the front dual speakers because the internal circuit space does not support it, this cad is just for reporting, the specific implementation is certainly not the case!

My walkman doesn't run correctly, probably due to the batteries i currently put in it. The tape does work we tested it out a week ago. And i tried a lot of different batteries. Does somebody know what is wrong?
I want to buy a digital audio player so I can listen to audio lectures and podcasts during my 2 hours per day commutes to work and back home. I don't care for music much and if I wanted to watch videos and read e-books then I would opt for a tablet. Though I care for Bluetooth connectivity. I also care for battery life and storage capacity, preferably able to use an sd-card.
I did some search and the cheapest Sony Walkman product that has those features, especially Bluetooth connectivity, is NW-A20, which is at least 200€ and is not available in my region. I have also found NW-E394, which is plentiful in my reagin for ~100€ but doesn't have Bluetooth. I like the NWZ-B183F small form factor, but it is not what I want, nor it is cost-effective for ~70€ retail price!
I have searched other brands for example:
SanDisk Clip Sport Plus with 32GB internal storage and Bluetooth, 18 hours of playtime, but no SD card for 50€
AGPTEK 32GB with 50 hours of battery life, SD card for 50€
Joliker 32GB with 35 hours of battery life and sd card and Bluetooth and everything... for just 40€
So I am wondering why should I buy a Sony Walkman that is at least 2-3 times more expensive and doesn't have half of the features that the cheaper brands have? Is it the audio quality? the durability? The customer service? why do people buy Sony Walkmans I wonder?
I really need a device just to listen to songs i cant go with the higher model because i dont have that much money saved and since the Sony NW-A306 alr came out a while back not only is it old but still runs on android 12 and i dont really know how good the device is so i came here looking for help. I mainly only wanna listen to music and i use wired earphones
I just started collecting Cassettes but i don’t have anything to play them yet. I want a Walkman and Ive seen throughout the Sub that Sony is the way to go. My question is what’s a good model to search for? I’ve gone through EBay/Facebook and there’s just so many options!
I’d like to know what are some models to keep an eye out for and what are reasonable prices for them?
Many thanks >.<
What is the point in owning a modern Walkman, compared to an 05 iPod or an original cassette Walkman? they’ve always interested me but how would Spotify on one of those things be better than just a modern iPhone. Is it just there file capabilities? Please let me know, nicely 😅
Hi! I'm new here. I always wanted to get back into cassettes. I used to listen to tapes when I was a kid with my dad. So, now that I got a job I want to start my own collection. I'm glad I found the cassette culture alive and well. Now, for the actual question, I saw an offer for a working Sony WM 2 for about 220 USD... Is it worth? Is this real or is it a scam?
TL;DR Is a working Sony WM 2 worth 220 USD?
