After a certain period of time, a major architecture change might be required, in which case, a product (both software and hardware) will reach its End-Of-Life (EOL) which is the date upon which Sophos will cease supporting the product or services related to it.

February 14, 2023 - The official end of sale for Sophos XG Firewall has been set for the end of September 2021. Units will be sold while supplies last.

January 10, 2025 - As the product lifecycle of Sophos XG appliances nears its end, understanding key dates like End-of-Sale (EOS), End-of-Life (EOL), and the Last 1-Year Renewal becomes crucial for planning ahead. Once the EOS date passes, you can no longer purchase new units, and as EOL approaches, support and updates will be discontinued, leaving systems vulnerable.

January 24, 2025 - From 31st March 2025, the Sophos XG Series firewall appliances will reach end-of-life and will no longer support new Sophos Firewall versions, or continued warranty and support.

Sophos Zero-Day Protection is fully integrated with your Sophos security solution. All you need to do is update your subscription, apply the Zero-Day Protection policy and you're protected against targeted attacks.

The XG Series hardware appliances will reach end-of-life (EOL) on March 31, 2025. Software updates on these appliances will stop shortly after this date.

Please note that this is an end-of-sale product. We strongly advise you to switch to a product from the Sophos XGS series. If you already own a Sophos XG, you can continue to renew your licenses using the XGS licensing model.

October 2, 2023 - Support contract renewals may not be extended beyond the EOL date. End-of-Life (EoL) is the last date which Sophos will cease support for the related product or service including signature updates.
