Hey Guys. Currently I‘m running SG135 in my home network with 4 VLANs and two APs with no issues. Now I got an opportunity to get one XG135 at a good price. AFAIK both devices in 3rd revision have the same CPU, right? Would you change to the newer XG135 or is there no big performance difference? What are your thoughts?

from everything I understand this was just a SKU thing. When ordering the SG came with an older version of software and the XG had the newer version. Hardware wise these are the exact same.

I’ve never played with Sophos XGS, but I found a 135 for $120

I’m wondering if this will make a good opnsense box.

Should work on every x86 based SG/XG, OPNSense runs fine on my XG105.
